MG GM Sprinter
« on: Mon Oct, 09, 2017, 03:57:PM »
Finished a custom i did based on the old MG GM Sniper kit. Added some parts from a Gundam Ez8 and some scratch building. Shield is from a OYW RX-78 and the Rail Cannon is from a 3rd party kit. The base was built from scratch as well.

I took most w/o the led's on so that it doesn't tint the surrounding areas for pictures.

Looks amazing! The only thing I'd tweak is that cherry picker- painting that a "warning" yellow would really make it look plausible (it looks a bit toylike in grey).

Wouldn't touch the Gundam itself though- it's perfect!

I like what you did with this.
The figures give a great sense of scale

"There's too much confusion. I can't get no relief."

Thanks for the kind words all!

@Jason; I was actually planning on trying some black/yellow stripes on the cart, but didn't have time. I wanted to finish this for a contest at NYCC this past weekend. Might revisit it later.

Cool. There are many great decal sheets for Gundam and for the "chain base" displays like yours- many have warning stripe decals.
I know because I myself just bought a set for an Iron Man armor display.

I've seen the chain bases but i built the base completely from scratch. I wanted it to appear to be an area on a base/runway. I have warning strip water slides somewhere in my decal drawer, but i was planning on masking them myself with striping tape.

I love the chipping and worn look.

Just the right amount of weathering
