Hasegawa 1/72 F-14 Ace Combat Razgriz Squadron
« on: Sat Aug, 12, 2017, 02:30:PM »
This is another plane from the video game Ace Combat. This one is an actual plane, fictional squzdron. I live being able to do a black Cat.  ;D

Fit wasnt too bad over all. Certainly much better than some of the ones I have dealt with lately. This boxing came with a PE fret, so was able to detail the cockpit with no further purchases. I used the PE, decals and detail painting. Think it turned out pretty good.

I dont like that the wings are fixed. Have to pick your position and thats it.

I am at the point where all decaling is done. I am leaving her clean. I really like the look of her just like this. Just have to do landing gears, weapons and the like. I am planning on doing 2 each of Aim 54, 9 and 7 and two fuel tanks. Obviously taken from Hasegawas weapons kits.

The exhausts are not on yet, so I am sure that is making it look short as well.

Im gonna take more pics of it once I get done detailing the canopy and get that on in the open position.

Looking forward to those pix  ,
It's not the missing exhausts doing it ( for me )   --   same reason to wear dark clothes if you're a bit rotund  ;D

I used to walk around and under these things daily when at sea on that carrier .
They look like nothing but engine and skinny -azz , tiny wings from behind   8)
A friend of mine from ordnance  took me up on the flight deck during air-ops at night  --- coolest friggin thing ever !

Unusual scheme for this bird, but it's looking good

Well, its clear from the pics I need to hit it with the canned air. LOL The cockpit as it sits last night. I am almost done aside from the weapons. I am waiting for the weapons kit to get here. I have them in 1/48. Plenty of bombs in 1/72. No air to air. *sigh*

So, aside from the weapons, she is done. I will take proper pics once she has a load on.
