Abteilung 502 - Weathering Pigment Ochre Earth 20ml Bottle
$10.25

AK Interactive - Tanker Magazine Issue 7: Urban War
$21.75
The seventh issue of Tanker Techniques Magazine, the best modelling magazine focused on painting and weathering techniques. Urban warfare has left its print on the development of new tanks and armoured vehicles. This issue of Tanker is dedicated to creating such an environment for your model. We show how to make a street scene, destroyed and bombed out buildings, etc. This time the focus is more on how to present your model in such environments rather than on the vehicles themselfs. Creating such scenes requires some planning and thinking, but it’s not as hard as it seems.
Already here the last issue of Tanker, this time focus in conflicts in villages and cities. In this issue we can feel the battle and the sensations of decadence in cities destroyed by the war. We will see how to recreate these environments, buildings and vehicles.

Hasegawa 1/72 B24 Liberator Mk III/IV Coastal Command RAF Patrol Aircraft (Ltd Edition)
$122.75
It's a long, long way from New York to Liverpool. In WWII, that open expanse of ocean was a death trap. Nazi U-Boats prowled just beneath the surface from coast to coast, sinking vessels by the ton. RAF Coastal Command was given the nearly impossible task of regaining control over the huge "Atlantic Gap". Some of the best aircraft for this mission were the B-24 Liberators. These bombers, with their immense range and payload, enabled Coastal Command to extend protection for convoys far out into the Atlantic. Kit features two sets of decals.
Decal Options:
Liberator Mk.V: RAF Coastal Command No.86 Squadron Code: 2-Q (BZ877)
    Liberator Mk.III: RAF

Italeri 1/72 Harrier GR3 Fighter Falklands War
$33.25
FALKLANDS WAR
SUPER DECALS SHEET FOR 6 VERSIONS
The Harrier is probably the most famous aircraft with vertical/short takeoff and landing capabilities of military History. Designed and developed by the British manufacturer Hawker Siddeley in the sixties, it actively participated to the  military operations during the Falklands / Malvinas War in 1982.  More in detail the Harrier Gr. 3, characterized by the adoption of new features as the nose-mounted laser tracker and the integrated electronic countermeasure systems, it was very effective in close support and ground attack missions performed by British Royal Air Force. Armed with two  30 mm guns installed under the fuselage, it was able to carry a significant load of offensive weapons composed by rockets, conventional bombs and laser-guided bombs.  Thanks to the possibility to adopt two drop tanks under the wings, the operative range could be increased.
Decals for 6 versions

Italeri 1/48 Hunter F6/FGA9 Aerobatic Teams Aircraft
$64.00
SUPER DECALS SHEET FOR 5 VERSIONS - COLOURED INSTRUCTION SHEET
The Hawker Hunter was developed between the late '40s and the early' 50s to equip the Royal Air Force with a modern jet-powered single-seat fighter interceptor. It was, substantially, the british reply to the famous american F-86 Sabre and russian Mig-15. It was design and developed on the Rolls-Royce Avon turbojet engine and it was characterized by the adoption of the swept wing layout, typical of the aeronautical production of those years.  The Hunter entered in service in 1954 and, during its long operative career, it has been constantly improved. The most famous versions has been the Mk.6, a fighter with improved capabilities, and the Mk.9, able to perform ground attack duties.  Thanks to his maneuverability, the Hawker Hunter has been used by several famous display teams like the british “Black Arrows” or the canadian “Blue Diamonds”, the belgian “Diables Rouges” and the swiss “Patrouille Suisse”.
Decals for 5 versions

Italeri 1/720 USS Carl Vinson CVN70 Aircraft Carrier 1999
$38.50
UPGRADED MOULDS
The U.S.S. Carl Vinson (CVN-70) is the third Nimitz class, nuclear-powered, super carrier of the United States Navy. The Carl Vinson was delivered to the U.S. Navy on 1982 and during its intense career has been continuously upgraded and improved in order to increase its operational capability. With a displacement higher than 100,000 tons and a crew of 6,000 men the ship is able to have on board more than 90 aircrafts and helicopters. Furthermore the nuclear power propulsion guarantees a range of unlimited distance. The Carl Vinson participated to a significative number of operative missions in several war theaters. More recently, on 2010, it provided its contribution to support the Haiti population hit by the earthquake. Today she is still playing its role as protagonist of the U.S. Navy activities in the Pacific Ocean ( 2017 North Korean crisis ). The U.S.S. Carl Vinson also participated to a lot of movies and documentaries dedicated to the United States Navy.

Italeri 1/72 The Last Outpost 1754-1763 French & Indian War Diorama Set
$99.75
The Seven Years' War took place between 1756 and 1763 and involved all the European military powers of the time. It was considered,  by many historians,  as the first world war due to the fact that it spanned several Continents, affecting the Colonies owned by European States. In detail the French and Indian War comprised the North America theater where the Royal French troops, flanked by various indigenous forces allied with them, fought against the British Army and the Thirteen British American Colonies troops. Both armies moved quickly in order to capture and destroy enemy forts and settlements located along the frontiers. The war was very tough due to the severe operational environment and due to the ferocity of the fighting. The war was ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris, on February 1763, where Britain gained the control of the French Colonies in North America.

Italeri 1/35 M36B1 90mm Gun US Tank Destroyer
$55.00
PHOTO ETCHED FRET AND NEW GLUEABLE TRACKS
The American tank destroyer M36 was developed during the World War II to equip the Allies with an effective response to German armoured fighting vehicles, as Panther and Tiger, which were provided with strong armour and a great firepower. M36 offensive ability was based on its 90 mm M3 gun, better than the 76mm chosen for the preceding M10, which had the same hull. M36B1 was a fallback choice due to the lack of hulls: that’s why it was chosen to place M36 turret on Sherman M4A3 hull. Similarly to all the American tank destroyers, the turret was open-topped, in order to give greater field of vision during the battle. M36B1 effectiveness is proven by its longevity. After World War II it has been used by many armies. It took part also in Iran-Iraq War during the 80s and in Balkan Wars during the 90s. Some of them were captured by Iraqi Army during the war against Iraq in 2003.
Decals for 3 versions

Moebius/Model King 1/25 1961 Pontiac Catalina Joe Weatherly's Stock Race Car (Ltd Prod)
$47.25
A total of 51,287 fans arrived in Daytona to witness the 1961 race which was run at an average speed of 149.601 mph. Unofficial estimates placed the total in attendance at over 65,000 people, with speculation of perhaps 100,000.
Fireball Roberts started on the pole for the 500-mile event, with Joe Weatherly on the outside front row. Roberts jumped out front and held the lead through lap 12 when Banjo Mathews took the point position. Roberts traded the lead position with Mathews, Junior Johnson, Nelson Stacy for the first 42 laps. At lap 43 Roberts took command of the race in dominating style; and continued to lead for the majority of the race, building a lead of 2 laps over the rest of the field. Although Richard Petty did not start the race, he did drive in relief for Bob Wellborn from lap 120 through 169, after which Wellborn resumed the driving duties. On lap 182 driver Darel Dieringer contacted the outside fence, but managed to make repairs in time to finish the race. There were a total of nine lead changes between five drivers, and the race was completed without a single caution. Roberts would come back and lead a total of 170 of the 200 laps, including 145 consecutive laps from the 45th to the 187th.[19] Then on lap 187, with more than a two lap lead on second place teammate Panch, Roberts' engine failed knocking him out of the race. Marvin Panch took his first lead of the race with only 13 laps remaining, and held on to reach the checkered flag first, 16 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Joe Weatherly's number 8, who completed the race on one set of tires. The caution-free event was one of only 3 times that the iconic race ran the entire distance under green; with 1959 and 1962 being the only other 2 times it's occurred.
So, a 1960 Smokey Yunick Pontiac driven by Marvin Panch took the Checkered flag while Joe Weatherly in the red Bud Moore 1961 Stephens Pontiac took second. Paul Goldsmith in a 1961 Pontiac took third. In fact, Pontiac took seven of the top 11 spots that year demonstrating a strong dominance. Now, from the Automaker that claimed to build "Excitement", this Exciting Pontiac from this Exciting year for Pontiac's can be replicated authentically in 1:25 scale. Pontiac Excitement!

That is a fairly old kit, back in the day 1/720 was the standard. Not sure why. My only guess is that it was 1/10 that of 1/72?

Like some of the other odd ball scales, they made it what they think would take off, 1/720 never did, and 1/700 won out.

Like some other companies doing 1/400 and 1/600 ships.

Uruomo, they call 1/48 "quarter scale" because 1/4" = one foot
It's an old architectural reference
"There must be some way out of here," said the Joker to the Thief.
