thanks peza!

Next steps:

I improved the rockets with metal tails:

Then painting using the same paint scheme and weathering technics and gluing to the droid's head:

I started the base using foam insulation plate:
I wanted to do a desert stand, so I try to make a dune looks, with the footprints of the droid in it:

Then I used woodpast to create a smooth surface:

Add some paint (flat black and Tamiya desert yellow):

I used some real desert sand. I'm really happy to use it, my sister brought it to me from a trip to Tunisia almost 15 years ago. It comes from tatouine and is so really accurate with star wars theme!  :)
That sand is really thin, I had to go with 3 or 4 layers to achieve that result. That sand also countain little rocks, perfect to add details!  :)

I made little grass using an old brush and add extra details with lichen coming from a forest nearby:

Then I glued the droid to check the positionning of the wheels:
I have to say that the magnet underneath the head really helped me during the gluing of the first wheel.

Here are the final pictures of my JPG production Hailfire droid!

I add a little micromachine droid on the base to add some realisme to the scene!

I hope you'll enjoy the pictures and feel free to comment!

Turned out really well.
The base is a nice touch

thanks a lot guys!  8)

It has been a nice build!  8)

Someone comes with that advice on another forum:

Quote from: Jason Abbadon
The only thing I might suggest is adding g some sand and grit in the wheel treads so it doesn't look as though it was just dropped there from space (or a modeler!).

So I went back to it and add some dust effects on the wheels and sand on the model here and there.
This way it looks more right in the base. What do you think?

Best rendition of the Hailfire I've ever seen!
Better than the CG in the movie!
