Nice work!    If and when I get back to mine, I will have to seriously think about doing this to it.....

I'll be there and will bring this in whatever state it's in. Hopefully it will be on it's legs and all the major 'rough in' build work will be done.

Thanks John. Now to get that cockpit tube walkway rebuilt!

Thanks. You'll get back to it...to much fun not too. You can totally do this mod; just takes alot of time that's all.

Scott your hard work is really paying off big!  That curve looks amazing.  Can I ask what your over-all sidewall height will be once fully assembled?

thx

Thanks jake. Ill have to take a measurement when I'm home. You mean just sidewalls? Using the HH stuff. Its 13-14mm I think

The sidewall height wont change because of my mod.

Simply. Incredible.   :o

Is this the original release MPC Falcon kit from 1979, or the ROTJ?  I'm curious, since I scored an original release from ebay a few years ago (had one as a kid) and I'm trying to see how high I need to set the bar for my build. ;)

Superb work!

13-14 mm will look very cool.  Mine are around 16 and with my flat unmodified hull looks just "OK"  so Im very exited to see yours, especially from a side view.

Same here. Hoping to have a mockup with sidewalls in place fairly soon

Jake, the HH sidewalls are 14mm for mandibles and 17mm for dish.

Going to be doing all new mandibles?
