Sigh. Lost interest a bit (screwed up some painting and thought I should just start all over) and had other projects, many excuses, but will get back at this model soon. Thanks guys for keeping an interest. Barry

He guys, it took a couple of years but finally I finished that Delorean from you know which movie  :)

It was almost finished years ago but I hated the paint on the roof and pushed myself in a corner with difficult led and fiber attachments. In the end I just ignored my perfectionism and tied the wires together with some resistors here and there. All that remained was to put the parts together and take some photos, which is one of my favorite parts of finishing a model and it doesn't happen that often!  ;D

Hope you enjoy it, and check out the video of the finishing of this model.

I think it looks great.  Pretty well thought out with how it went together in the video.  Nicely done!

Turned out pretty well there

The lighting turned out absolutely fantastic, as well as the model itself.
Both thumbs up!

@Belugawrx C3PO was actually one of the few things I finished  :)

I did however end up throwing R2D2 in the trashcan..

The Speederbike never got finished but it's still around for a rainy day.

Photogrammetry anyone?

Here's something of which I'm not sure if it's of any use but it's very cool! And maybe of interest to some of you guys. I made a 3d scan of the Delorean model using photos taken of multiple angles around the model. Then using 3DF Zephyr software (lite version, limited to 50 photos) I managed to make a 3d model of it. The quality is a bit rough as I used a crappy phone camera, I will have a go later with a decent camera but I'm quite impressed with this software and it's free. Here's an animation of the model turning.
